  9. Hmmm...you might be able to leave the Shadow version of your text thick 
  10. (don't flatten it out) and then set Transparency to about 1% and turn on 
  11. Transparent Edges...this may or may not work.

  13. If it doesn't work, then try dissolving out your Text object and render
  14. the Shadow object by itself, blur the image to your liking with some 
  15. image processing software and then render the Text object with the 
  16. blurred Shadow image in the background.
